WHAT IS
HOMEOPATHY? WHAT ARE ITS HARD-CORE PRINCIPLES ?
THE LAW OF SIMILARS:
Is the fundamental law of
Homeopathy. According to this law, a drug when given to a healthy individual has the
capacity of producing certain signs and symptoms. If the signs and symptoms of the sick
individual correspond to those produced by a drug ,the individual can be cured by that
drug. i.e only the medicine given on the basis of similarity (LAW OF SIMILARS)will bring
about cure. This exact similarity can be obtained only if the patient is studied in detail
as an individual
LAW OF SINGLE REMEDY:
As a rule.. only one remedy
can be exactly similar ,at a given time and therefore it is essential to define the core
of the individual so that one can find out its exact similar medicine in the Homeopathic
Materia Medica .
LAW OF MINIMUM DOSE:
To bring about any change in
the disturbed dynamism, you need not make drastic , vigorous and major changes.. in fact
such kind of changes in an already disturbed dynamism will add to the problems than
helping to solve them.. The changes need to be SUBTLE and SURE..
CONCEPT OF
INDIVIDUALISATION:
The disease is the reaction
of the individual to unfavorable environmental circumstances.Another individual in the
similar circumstances would throw different expressions. It means that the response of the
individual will depend on the individual capacities of that person…. to cope up with
the unfavorable factors in the environment. This differentiates one from another.
Therefore, if we treat two individuals with same medicines , we are not respecting the
differences in their sensitivities.
To differentiate one
sensitivity from the another is a process, known as INDIVIDUALISATION.
